Presenting a deeper understanding of local history; amplifying the memories and experiences of residents and encapsulating them into an intimate and personal museum of stories; a museum which exhibits the meaning of locality from the perspective of its' inhabitants; transforming physical location in to the museum itself.

'TRANSIENT RHYTHMS' - ARTIST

A sound installation that is an ongoing, ever evolving musical composition, controlled by offshore wind turbines. Using vinyl records and turntables, a movement and sonic synchronization will be created on the shores of Cliftonville. The movement of each turbine will create new & unique rhythmic compositions, which in turn represent the movement of the wind.

Commisioned to compose the music for the opening of The 1000 Most Influencial Londoners Awards 2014 at the Francis Crick Institute. The sound work and composition is based around the theme of epigenetics.

Commissioned to create the music & sound for the new adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Based on Lewis Carroll’s literary classic and the real life Alice who inspired it, this poignant new play is brought imaginatively to life with a mix of theatre, puppetry and object manipulation.

Commissioned to write and create the sonic content for ‘Well’, a touching and thought provoking play based on the largest mass poisoning in human history. The work also incorporated the use of 'sonic props' - brass pots that resonated subtly throughout the performance.

'THE RABBIT HOLE' - SOUND ARTIST (St Pauls Church, Covent Garden, London)

Commissioned to create a sound installation within a ‘hidden path’ in Covent Garden. The work aims to sonically re-create Alice In Wonderlands ‘Rabbit Hole’ and incorporates a variety of ‘noise making’ toys along side a multichannel sound system. 'The Rabbit Hole' was an interactive piece aimed at engaging a diverse range of audiences.

Critically acclaimed physical theatre company Theatre Témoin present this visually stunning exploration of the trauma of combat and the hope that comes afterwards. Inspired by true stories told by child soldiers and ex-combatants from across the world; collected by the company during a year of creative work in Kashmir, Israel, Lebanon, and Rwanda.

Commissioned to create a sound installation as part of the promenade theatre production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar - sonically transforming a large outdoor space in to a post apocalyptic soundscape - achieved through the use of a multi-channel sound system.

'THE HOO PENINSULA' - ARTIST RESEARCHER (English Heritage / The Kent Cultural Baton)

Working with an English Heritage project to understand how the history and archaeology of the Hoo Peninsula landscape has contributed to the social make up of the area. This was a research project that consisted of hundreds of audio interviews and field recordings in creating a series of ‘audio maps’.

Collaboratively coordinated the release of the Left Turn 4 Records seasonal Mixtape - a music compilation celebrating the wealth of new music from around the UK and Sweden. Although the compilation is digitally distributed around the world, a limited edition cassette version is also manufactured.

Filipe Gomes and an ensemble of friends who come together to make dreamy-eyed, soul-searching folk music. Over the course of the first three releases, Filipe has experimented with sound and song writing. 'TAKING FLIGHT' - COMPOSER & SOUND ARTIST (Arts Council England)

An Arts Council funded project that aimed to empower migrant workers through story. The final piece was a unique surround sound installation at the Theatre Royal Margate and Turner Contemporary Margate that presented recorded stories and life experiences.

'WHISPERING FOREST' - COMPOSER & SOUND ARTIST (Crick Crack Club & Norwegian Embassy London) Commissioned to create ‘The Whispering Forest Sound Installation’ at the Bargehouse, OXO Tower, London. The installation consisted of an indoor forest made from pine trees donated by the Norwegian Embassy. Using infra-red sensors, microphones and a six channel speaker system, an interactive sonic experience was created that allowed individuals to whisper words in to a tree. These whispers then came back out of the trees as the individuals explored the forest. To realize this sound-work, I had to build a unique software program and also design a complex soundscape which provided the sonic backdrop through out the forest.

'THE CERVIA' - COMPOSER & SOUND ARTIST (The Cervia Restoration Trust)

Created the ‘Cervia Sound Installation’; a unique multi-channel sound installation that brought a 65-year-old steam tug (boat) back to life through the use of sound. For over four months I designed a 10 channel sound work that accurately brought the boat back to life. Included in The Guardian Newspaper as one of the highlights of The Ramsgate Arts Festival.

Designing and developing a piece of software called ‘3D sound’ using infrared technology; I created an interactive surround sound experience through headphones. As the listener moves around a space the audio in their headphones changes and develops.

Wrote and created The Audiobook Adaptation of Michael Rosen’s Sad Book. Recognised by broadcasters and academics as being an innovative and highly successful Audio Book. Broadcast on Audio Book Radio four times a day, every day from February to March 2012.

'MONSTER SEA BASS FESTIVAL' ARTIST & TECHNICAL CO-ORDINATOR (Thanet District Council)

Technical and Sound Supervisor of The Monster Sea Bass Festival 2010. This was a major Arts festival held in East Kent. I was in charge of creating a major sound work on Ramsgate Beach that was synchronized with a procession that was moving through the town. The sound set up consisted of a 24-channel speaker system laid out across the town and Beach. Other duties included managing a team of 20 sound engineers.
