Inside a double-helix of lightbulbs two identical twins perform a stunning aerial duet. Commissioned by the Wellcome Trust for the Evening Standard 1000 Most Influential Londoners party ‘Switch’ is inspired by epigenetics, the way in which the environment and lifestyle causes our genes to switch on and off, and how this knowledge can be used to improve our future health. Choreographed and performed by Starfiz aerial duo Katie Hardwick and Leyla Rees, the ‘Switch’ soundtrack was composed by Filipe Gomes - the sonic work was inspired by lectures and interviews by Professor Tim Spector, Dr Juliette Harris and Dr Kirsten Ward of the Department of Genetic Epidemiology and Twin Research at King’s College London.
